Style : A Personal Matter.
We've all heard phrases like, "Don't mix black and brown," or "Don't wear baggy clothes with baggy clothes." But have we ever wondered where these rules come from and why ?
Arbitrary dictates imposed on us, we don't know when or by whom. Style is an art, and like any art form, it has no rules. It's a unique mode of expression, and as such, it's personal to each individual. Trends are often innovative, interesting, even surprising, but they shouldn't become constraints from which we can't escape. They should be inspiring, not imposed; bold and original, rather than uniform. Some styles appeal to us, others less so, and that's perfectly normal, because style is first and foremost a signature, a mark we leave behind. It doesn't have to conform; it can be both trendy and disruptive : mixing eras, materials, colors… because it's often by going against established rules that it reinvents itself. Be yourself, create your own color palette, and resonate with your own unique energy; your style belongs to you, and like you, it shouldn't need anyone's validation to exist.
